ACEC is looking to hire a number of full-time, on-site teachers for a variety of positions for the  upcoming 2024/25 school year.

If you're interested in working in, and learning from, a remote First Nations community with a beautiful environment and rich history, then Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug may be the place for you. We invite anyone up for the  rewarding challenge  of supporting the growth and development of the students of KI and willingness to work as a part of a dedicated team of educators and community members.

ACEC is looking for teachers with the following:
- OCT certification in good standing (or in the process of obtaining certification if in final year of teacher's training program)
- QECO rating
- willingness to relocate to a fly-in First Nations community
- experience with high needs students

ACEC is looking for teachers with the following experiences and qualifications:
- Primary, Junior, Intermediate qualified teachers.
- High School teachers holding a variety of qualifications including Social Studies, Music, Art, Construction Technology, Science, English, Math, Physical Education, Art
- Wood working/shop class specialist
- Music specialist
- Native Language (Anishiniimowin) teachers

These positions will help the teachers be a member of an education community, trusted and lead by the KI community, that will strive to provide an education that will enable KI youth to be able to walk in both worlds of Indigenous knowledge & teachings and Western education.

Previous experience working with Indigenous youth, and/or in an Indigenous community, is an asset.
A variety of Additional Qualifications is also as asset.

As it will be the inaugural year for extending the high school section to grade 12, we are looking at an enrolment of 300-400 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Any enthusiastic and dedicated educator or teacher who is looking to contribute their knowledge and expertise in a culturally respectful manner, in a collaborative way, and is up for the challenges remote First Nations communities in particular face, is encouraged to apply.
