at the start of the Fall hunt, the community closes down for 1 week to allow all community members to participate in hunting, trapping, fishing, gathering activities. The school closes during this week, but staff offer support in hosting and teaching activities for the youth and their families that are unable to leave for camping.

On this day, we add the theme of "honouring our Elders." Staff, students, and community members will be creating posters together, singing, drumming, sharing knowledge, and doing a walk through town. All community members are invited to join.
